Prior to joining ICR Westwicke, Rebecca worked as an Investor Relations Associate at PennantPark, where she worked closely with institutional and retail investors, creating and maintaining investor presentations, investment templates, pipelines, loan tapes, and managed all quarterly marketing materials and distributions. Earlier on, Rebecca was the sole Analyst on the Investor Relations and Institutional Fundraising team at Medley Capital. At Medley, Rebecca worked closely with senior management to compose and publish public press releases, create and maintain investor presentations and other marketing materials, lead and manage investor onboarding processes, etc. Rebecca initially joined Medley Capital in their Accounting group in 2015 and transitioned to the Investor Relations and Institutional Fundraising sector of the Company in 2016. Rebecca previously worked at Annaly Capital Management, where she was a member of the Finance and Accounting team, focusing the majority of her time in public accounting.

Rebecca holds a BA in Business Management from Robert B. Willumstad School of Business at Adelphi University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with specializations in both Finance and Marketing.

Haylee Last

Haylee is a Vice President for ICR Westwicke in New York City and joined the Healthcare Capital Markets team in March 2022. She supports senior team members through in-depth research and data analysis.

Prior to joining ICR Westwicke, Haylee worked as a Senior Accountant at Cedar, a fintech company focused on building technology to facilitate payments and drive patient engagement within healthcare in New York City. She is an experienced, cross-functional finance operator with demonstrated success in developing fin-ops processes in high-growth startups and large Fortune 500 companies. Haylee’s background has been focused on developing financial models in healthcare, real estate, and the financial services industry.

Haylee holds a M.S in Accounting from St. John’s University and a B.S in Accounting from George Washington University.

Jon Yu

Jon Yu

Prior to joining ICR, Jon was Associate Account Director within the Integrated Marketing Intelligence and Solutions practice at W2O Group where he led communications and digital marketing projects in health care. He also worked previously as Senior Account Executive at Weber Shandwick in New York where he supported corporate and R&D communications for a leading biopharmaceutical client. Before joining the communications industry, Jon was Research Specialist at the Department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Jon is also an avid documentary photographer whose images have been featured by international and local news outlets including the BBC, New York Times, CBS News and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Jon graduated with a B.S. in biology with concentration in neural and behavioral sciences from Haverford College in 2012.

Leslie Motz

Most recently Leslie worked in Investment Banking at SC&H Capital where she gained extensive knowledge in mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy. She developed an expertise in leading privately held and family-owned businesses through various strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and divestitures. Leslie worked with businesses across industries including advising on several healthcare related transactions.

Leslie received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Santa Clara University and lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband.

Benjamin Shannon

From biotech startups to legacy brands, government agencies to nonprofits, Ben has experience developing strategy, initiatives, and programs around regulatory milestones, patient advocacy, medical meetings and c-suite communications for clients including, but not limited to: Walgreens, AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly Oncology, Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, The Biosimilars Council, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Sabin Vaccine Institute.

Prior to joining ICR Westwicke, Ben worked at JPA Health, where he represented a variety of healthcare clients, working across corporate, product, policy, and internal communications. Ben also previously served as a Policy and Communications Advisor to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where he counseled senior leadership, including Secretary Burwell, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy on messaging strategy and agency rollouts. Ben was also a member of President Barack Obama’s campaign team and served as a White House Advance Associate. In those roles, he was responsible for planning and executing 100+ domestic and international events for the President, Vice President, First Lady, and Second Lady of the United States.

Ben holds a BA in Psychology from Clemson University.

Josh Flax

Josh is currently a Vice President at ICR Westwicke in the Baltimore office, having joined the Life Sciences team in March 2019. He supports senior team members through in-depth research and data analysis. His daily responsibilities include maintaining and updating the firm’s proprietary software and databases, preparing quarterly shareholder reports and institutional account profiles, and tracking and analyzing trends in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.

Prior to joining ICR Westwicke, Josh worked at Morgan Stanley where he supported the Foreign Exchange Trading Desk. Josh holds a B.A. in Business, Organizations and Society from Franklin and Marshall College and lives in Baltimore, Maryland.

Brandon Weiner, MBA

Brandon received his MBA specializing in Healthcare Management and Public/Private Leadership from The Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University, and his BS in Economics from Goucher College.
