Largest Healthcare-Focused IR Firm Announces Growth, Adds Key Personnel
Baltimore, Md., May 12, 2014 — The largest healthcare-focused investor relations (IR) firm in the country, Westwicke, is pleased to announce that two senior-level advisors — Jamar Ismail and Peter Vozzo — have been added to the team this year to serve the rising demand among healthcare companies to develop and execute independent capital markets and IR strategies.
Like Westwicke’s other team members, who have more than 200 years of combined Wall Street experience, Ismail and Vozzo bring to their new positions substantial experience from both Wall Street and the healthcare industry. Vozzo spent two decades as a sell-side analyst and IR professional at various healthcare companies in Maryland, while Ismail worked for many years as a buy-side analyst, equity researcher, and member of prominent IR medical technology teams.
Westwicke’ deep Wall Street experience is a defining characteristic of the company’s approach to IR, providing team members with “real-life” views of the challenges senior management teams face building and maintaining relationships with shareholders and investors. The professionals work under a structure of dedicated teams focused on life sciences, healthcare services/healthcare information technology, and medical technology/diagnostics. “Our unique Wall Street experience and team set up allow us to leverage existing knowledge and relationships with the leading buy-side institutions, sell-side analysts, and investment bankers — ultimately giving clients the highest-value of service,” explained Mark Klausner, a managing partner at Westwicke who spent 17 years in senior-level positions in investment banking and equity capital markets.
“The careers of these new team members reflect core attributes that drive the success of our company and our clients, particularly a strong commitment to client service and a dedication to teamwork,” said Bob East, another managing partner with close to 20 years of prior experience working on Wall Street in institutional sales. “We congratulate our new teammates on their accomplishments to date, and we know they will continue to thrive in their new roles as they help our clients achieve their business goals and contribute to the success and growth of our company.”
